The Tribe

Welcome to the TRIBE!

If you are at school in years 8 to 12, you've come to the right place. Read on to find out more about the TRIBE - who we are and what we do.

Who is the TRIBE?

The TRIBE is a youth group that meets at, and is part of, Victory Christian Centre. As the name suggests, we see ourselves as a group of young people united in our excitement about life and passion for quality friendship.

What do we do?

We aim to meet the social and spiritual needs of teenagers and young adults within a safe, no pressure environment. Our program emphasizes fun and friendship and encourages a healthy personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Some of the things we do include:

  • Games/Social nights
  • Out door activities
  • Life skills training
  • Meeting with other Youth Groups
  • Camps

When?

The TRIBE generally meets on Friday nights at 7.00pm till 9.30pm. Occasionally however, we meet at other times and venues (for example, a hike or bike ride during the day). To keep every one informed, we produce a program that shows all the times, places, activities and cost (if applicable) for the term.

Why?

The short answer is - Because we can!

Beyond that, we believe that our youth deserve more safe places to go on a Saturday night. Amid all the distractions and pressures of life, the TRIBE seeks to provide an environment where young people can find true identity, acceptance and approval.
