2. You were born for a purpose

• Life is all about finding out God’s purpose for you life – and fulfil it
• Until you do that you are nor really living

Every person comes into the world with a purpose that weighs on him

Ecc 3:10-11 NIV I have seen the burden God has laid on men. (11) He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

• Burden - heavy responsibility

Eternity within heart

• There is something within you that is being called by eternity
• Reason for living beyond ourselves

For this reason I was born

Joh 18:37 NIV "You are a king, then!" said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."

• It is finished - not I am retired

Born to do something that will make a difference

• Something that the world will not ignore

Bible full of people who did little things that made a big difference

• Rahab – prostitute (hid 2 spies)
• The woman with the alabaster jar of perfume

E.g. Mother Teresa

If you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed one

• She encouraged others not to wait for well known leaders to do the job but to follow their visions

3 kinds of people

• Those who are unaware that things are happening around them
• Those that continually ask - what just happened
• Those that make things happen

What have you done so far with your life that the world can't forget

• How long will you drift
• Apostles know for their acts not talks
• They effected people – Made people nervous – afraid of them\

3. You were born to fulfil your purpose

2Ti 1:5-6 NIV I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. (6) For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

All gifted by God to do something for Him

• Unique to you and your purpose in life

Gifts are not something that we earn or learn

• It is something that God gave to us
• Need to discover it and stir it up

Your gift will open door for you

Pro 18:16 MKJV A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.

• A man's gift makes way for him – not his education
• Education can't give you a gift but it can help develop it so that it can be used and maximized

If you are intelligent but not exercising your gift you will more than likely end up being poor

If you are educated but have not developed your talent you’re likely to be depressed, frustrated and tired

A mans gift brings him before great men

• When you develop your gift you become a commodity

Do what you were born to do

• That is where you will make money and find fulfilment
• Your gift will give you your youth back – energy – strength – health
